The festival features artist demonstrations, hands-on art activities and fun performers the whole family can enjoy! Below is a list of some of the exciting events families can see and create in.
- Printmaking demo by University of West Georgia Students
- Creative take-home crafts from the Neva Lomason Memorial Library
- Creative Station by University of West Georgia Art Education Students: Kids can make a cool art project.
- Art Wall: A Public Window Mural: Add to our public mural on the Carrollton Center for the Art’s gallery window by using chalk markers to add a nifty sketch or masterpiece of your own.
- Throwing Clay Art: Watch local ceramic artist Melanie Drew from Blue Heron Studio make new works on the pottery wheel.
- Playful Mixed Media Costumes: Work with local artist Alan Kuykendall to make some of your own! Stop by during one of our scheduled tours to get a fun inside look at our costume design exhibit and learn more about this dramatic and visual art form. The activity is inspired by the Creating Characters costume exhibition.
- DIY Sculpture: Let your kids build fun pool noodle sculptures in this play zone. Kids can make whatever they imagine or can follow a few of the provided examples.
