Welcome to Carrollton, GA! The heart of our city is our thriving historic downtown, known as Adamson Square. This central location has become a gathering place throughout the year, averaging over 400,000 visitors, including local residents and out of town guests. With wide sidewalks, colorful awnings and warm welcomes from our merchants, Adamson Square is the hub of some 20 restaurants and over 100 businesses in our Main Street district. The charming historic architecture mixed with unique retail shops, restaurants with patios, balconies and bars set the tone for lasting memorable experiences. Other assets to enhance your downtown experience include our outdoor amphitheater referred to as “the AMP”, the historic Train Depot and the Carrollton Center for the Arts. Each of these venues bring our downtown alive with performances, festivals, and special cultural events that help our citizens and visitors create lasting memories and establish honored traditions unlike any other small town in the west Georgia region; its just one part of what makes us “Altogether Original.”
The Carrollton Center for the Arts is the source for quality arts programming and entertainment in our region. The 50,000 square foot facility offers over 120 programs a year for all segments of our population. Programs include performances, exhibitions, special events, classes, workshops, camps, and much more. The facility is also home to several outstanding arts organizations within the community including the Carroll County Community Chorus, Carrollton Writers Guild, Carroll County Community Theatre and the Carrollton Artist Guild.
